NIGHTLOCK® LOCKDOWN 2
NIGHTLOCK® LOCKDOWN 1 – HOW IT WORKS
The NIGHTLOCK® Lockdown 1 uses the strength of the floor to withstand tremendous force, and works on any outward- and inward-swinging doors. The NIGHTLOCK unit is installed at floor level, and remains out of reach to anyone attempting to enter by breaking window glass on conventional classroom and office doors. Meets UL 10C testing for Fire-Rated Doors.
AVAILABLE SIZES:
Choose from a ⅜” high floor plate or low profile, ⅛” high floor plate.
NIGHTLOCK® LOCKDOWN 2 – HOW IT WORKS:
Utilizing the structural stability of the metal door frame, this model also withstands tremendous force but requires no floor mounting. Works on outward-swinging wood doors only with hollow metal commercial frames. Because NIGHTLOCK 2 is also installed at floor level, it remains out of reach to anyone attempting to enter by breaking door windows. Meets UL 10C testing for Fire-Rated Doors.
AVAILABLE SIZES:
Fits door frame soffits ranging from 1 inch to 5.5 inches.
Whether it’s a small Day Care facility or 400-room school, college dorm or office complex, NIGHTLOCK provides protection in just seconds for emergency lockdown situations to prevent an Act of Terrorism, such as an Active Shooter. Teachers and employees simply drop the locking handle into the floor plate.
The Department of Homeland Security recommends locking and barricading doors when sheltering in place. Most state Fire Officials approve devices like Nightlock Lockdown. Many fire code officials now apply a variance in codes to allow these temporary barricade devices for emergency events.
LOCKING HANDLES – KEEP THEM SAFE AND AVAILABLE.
The NIGHTLOCK Locking Handles can be conveniently stored in a secure location within the classroom or office. A Wall Box is provided with each unit, and can be positioned anywhere in the room for quick access to the handle in case of an emergency lockdown event. The handle is RED for easy visual locating. Most schools prefer positioning of the wall box near the door or at the teacher’s desk.
